Executing Methods in ADF

Methods that are added from the Data Control Palette to an ADF Faces page appear as methods or operation binding in the page definition file of the page. The method argument is productId.

Obtain the operation binding using the “bindings” object defined in an earlier slide. The bindings object is added as a managed property in the faces-config.xml or other task flow configuration file.

The method arguments can be provided as key-value pair in a Map that is associated with the operation binding.

The following explains the fourth line of code in the example on the slide.

04. Execute the method by calling execute() on the operation binding.

Similarly, you access RowSetIterators and other components exposed in the page definition file.
