Using the Application Overview

Notes:

Using the Application Overview

When you first create an application, the Application Overview page appears in the editor area of the IDE. This overview provides a convenient listing of all the sources for your application, grouped into helpful categories that are displayed in resizable panels.

The Application Overview gives you a sense of the overall status of your application, such as which sources are incomplete, which have errors, and so on. It also enables you to access various forms of help.

When you select one of the panels, you have access to a context menu that enables you to create objects. For example, in the Java Files panel, the New menu enables you to create a Java class or interface.

In the Application Navigator, select Show Overview from the application menu to display the Application Overview.
